About Anthea
Thea is one of the most highly respected trial attorneys in Weld County. With more than a decade of experience as a trial lawyer, Thea has prosecuted some of the most serious cases in this community, including homicides, sexual assaults, serious drug cases, and cold cases. She would be honored to have the opportunity to put her trial skills to use and assist you with your litigation needs, or any of your other legal needs.
Thea was born and raised in Greeley and is proud to call Weld County her home. She graduated from Greeley Central High School, earned a Boettcher Foundation Scholarship, and graduated magna cum laude from Colorado State University, majoring in Technical Journalism with minors in Spanish and Political Science. Thea worked in the mortgage industry and in community relations before attending University of Colorado Law School. While in law school, she was a regional champion and national qualifier in both trial advocacy and appellate advocacy competitions. She graduated from the University of Colorado Law School in 2009, and was recognized as Order of the Coif for being in the top ten percent of her graduating class.
After graduating from law school, Thea worked as a judicial law clerk for the late Hon. Walker Miller in the Federal District Court for the District of Colorado. In 2010, she joined the Weld County District Attorney’s Office, where she had worked before and during law school. She was promoted to Chief Deputy District Attorney in 2013 and remained in that position until 2021 when she joined Grant & Associates.
In addition to her vast experience in front of juries, Thea also has experience litigating appellate issues before the Colorado appellate courts, including oral arguments in front of the Colorado Supreme Court.
Thea is a proud wife and mother of two daughters. She has long been an active member of the Weld County community. She is a current member of the 19th Judicial District Judicial Performance Commission and has been involved in a number of other community groups, including the Board of Directors for the Sexual Assault Victim Advocate Center and the Board of Directors for Youth and Family Connections.
