Privacy Policy

Effective October 20, 2026

Grant & Associates Law Firm, P.C. ("the firm", "we") runs this website to describe our practice and to let you reach us. This page says what the site collects and what we do with it.

What the site itself collects

The pages are plain files served from our own hosting account. The site sets no cookies of its own, and its own scripts send nothing about you beyond the count of phone-number taps and the note of how your visit began, both described below.

Our hosting provider counts page views at the network edge: the page viewed, the country, state and town the visitor appears to be in (an estimate our hosting provider makes from the internet address), the site that linked to the page, whether the request looked like an automated crawler, whether the visit came from a click on one of our ads (only that it did, not the ad network's click identifier), and the day. The visitor's internet address is not stored; a one-way hash of it that changes every day is kept for up to three months so that repeat views on the same day can be told apart from new ones, and so that a call, message or chat on the same day can be counted toward the ad visit that began it. When you tap one of the site's phone numbers, the site counts the tap: the page you were on, the day and the same daily hash, never the number dialled or whether the call went through. A request for an address that does not exist on the site is noted with less: the address asked for, the site that linked to it, whether the request looked like an automated crawler, and the day, so that old links can be sent to the right page. Nothing in these counts identifies you.

So that the office knows how people find the firm, the site notes how your visit began: from one of our ads, our Google Business Profile, a QR code, a search engine, a link on another website (only that website's name), or by typing the address. It also notes the first page you opened. Your browser tab keeps this note until you close the tab; it is not a cookie, and nothing is sent anywhere because of it. Only if you send a message through the contact form or start a chat does the note go with it, to the staff and into the firm's client intake system. It never includes the ad network's click identifier or anything else about you.

The contact form

When you send a message through the contact form we receive the name, email address, phone number and message you type, along with the note of how your visit began described above. Before it is accepted the form passes a check by Cloudflare (Turnstile) that tells people from automated senders; that check may process your internet address and browser details under Cloudflare's privacy policy. The message is then delivered by email to the staff who handle new inquiries, through an email service provider (Resend), and recorded in the firm's client intake system. If you send the form from inside the chat, the most recent messages of your conversation with the chat go with it, to the same staff and the same system. The firm keeps your message and details as part of its intake records; if you would like them removed, ask us as described under "Your choices and questions" below. The website itself keeps a record of each attempt that holds only the date, the page, the outcome and a one-way hash of the email address, so that a lost message can be noticed; it never keeps the message.

Job applications

When you apply through the careers page we receive what you type into the application form and the files you attach, such as a resume, a cover letter or a writing sample. The form passes the same Cloudflare (Turnstile) check as the contact form. Your application and its files are then delivered by email to the staff who handle hiring, through the same email service provider (Resend), and are not added to the firm's client intake system. The firm keeps applications as part of its hiring records so that we can contact you when a suitable position opens; if you would like yours removed, ask us as described under "Your choices and questions" below. The website itself keeps only the date, the outcome and a one-way hash of the email address for each attempt, never the application or the files.

Case referrals from attorneys

When an attorney refers a matter through the Refer a Case page, we receive what they type: their own name, firm and contact details, the client's name and any contact details given for the client, the other parties, and a short description of the matter. The form passes the same Cloudflare (Turnstile) check as the contact form, and the referral is delivered by email to the staff who handle new inquiries, through the same email service provider (Resend). The firm keeps referrals as part of its intake records. The website itself keeps only the date, the outcome and a one-way hash of the referring attorney's email address for each attempt, never the referral.

The chat

The "Chat with us" button opens an automated chat, not a lawyer, that answers questions about the firm and this website and takes down what the office needs to follow up. Before the first message it passes the same Cloudflare (Turnstile) check as the form. We receive what you type and any details you choose to give: your name, phone number and email address, the names of the other people or companies involved (the office checks for conflicts of interest first), a short description of your matter and any deadline. The chat also carries the note of how your visit began described above. The replies are written by an automated language model run by Anthropic, which processes the text of the conversation under its own privacy policy. When the chat ends, whether you finish it, press End chat, reach its length limit, or write nothing for half an hour, the whole conversation and the details you gave are delivered by email to the staff who handle new inquiries, through the same email service provider (Resend), and a copy is kept in the firm's own file storage; when you have given at least your name, a phone number or email address and a line about your matter, they are also recorded in the firm's client intake system. While it is open, the chat is held in the website's own database, and your browser tab remembers it so that a page reload does not lose it. The firm keeps the record of the chat, with the conversation and the details you gave, as part of its intake records; if you would like it removed, ask us as described under "Your choices and questions" below. The website's own log of each chat holds only the date, the page, the outcome and a one-way hash of the address that changes every day, never a word of the conversation. A question about the website itself may be passed on to the people who maintain the site, in general terms and without your name, contact details or the facts of your matter.

The microphone button in the chat window uses your browser's own speech recognition (Chrome sends the audio to Google, Safari to Apple). Nothing is recorded by the site, and typing works without it.

Sending a message or starting a chat does not make you a client of the firm. Please do not include confidential details until we have confirmed that we can take your matter.

Services from other companies

Some pages load scripts from companies we work with:

  • Google Analytics, which measures how the site is used and may set cookies in your browser. Google's own privacy policy applies to that data.
  • Google Maps, for the map of our office on the contact page. The map loads from Google when you scroll to it; Google then receives your internet address and browser details and may set cookies, under its own privacy policy.

You can block these scripts with your browser's settings or a content blocker; the site works without them.

The client reviews on the home page are a selection copied from the firm's Google Business Profile and shown as text on the page itself; nothing is loaded from Google to show them, and the link under them opens Google.

Your choices and questions

You may ask us what information we hold about you from this website, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where the law allows. Write to us at the address below or email info@greeleyattorneys.com.
